Our clients’ services increase productivity and extend the life of furnaces in the Coke, Glass, Steel, Petroleum Refining & Chemical Processing, Aluminium/Nonferrous, Foundry and Cement & Mineral Processing Industries.

 

Position Description

 

This successful incumbent will be responsible for increasing market penetration in the China Coke market as well as provides support for Complete Battery Maintenance.  Administers organizational policies in adherence to statutory guidelines and governmental regulations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

Work with the Business Development Manager-Coke, AsPac, to set goals and devise appropriate strategies and action plans for achieving the coke sales and gross margin budget; as well as increase market share through the CBM approach.

 

Work with Business Unit Director – Coke, AsPac, for overall guidance and support in increasing market penetration.

 

Develops sales leads and visits prospective customers in an effort to grow market penetration and customer base.

 

Maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect the market.

 

Manages all administrative/statutory functions for the Chinese entity.

 

Acts as liaison between customer and operations for job preparation.

 

Develops and maintains critical path planning for projects in specified software format.

 

Prepares pre-job P&Ls, and quotations.

 

Participates in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner.

 

Manages assigned sales budgets.

 

Takes the lead role in site planning –including the hiring of qualified personnel, proper manpower deployment, and ensuring equipment and materials needs are met.

 

Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers.

 

Provide a monthly activity report to Business Unit Director – Coke AsPac.

 

Monitor product performance and establish Differential Advantage over competitive products.

 

Manage costs to achieve budget expectations with respect to margins.

 

Observe good housekeeping and safety habits, follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

Minimum 5 years of field sales experience, or equivalent.

 

Minimum 5 years in a leadership / management position.

 

Engineering experience within the coke industry and general line refractory’s necessary.

 

Experience of hands-on account management.

 

Personal Qualifications:

 

Well-developed sales and presentation skills in order to close deal.

 

Maintains good working knowledge of products and services provided by the client.

 

Flexibility to work with customers and colleagues at all levels and from different cultures.

 

Comfortable and confident in presenting information to customers, government agencies, etc.

 

Excellent oral/written communication and customer relation’s skills.

 

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

 

Education:

 

Engineering Degree in Ceramic Technology or Engineering Mechanics.

 

Language Abilities:

 

Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin Chinese.
