Group Operations Director – Global


The Company

 

Our client is a global company (European) focused on significant PV project development around the world together with specialized silicon material manufacturing of solar-based technology.

 

Position Description

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

Set and execute operations strategy of the group utilizing global best practices to achieve business excellence

 

Establish strategic and performance goals for all business units in accordance to strategy

 

Direct short and long-term planning and budget development for all business units

 

Direct operations of the company to meet budget and other financial goals

 

Develop Company Strategy as part of the senior executive team

 

Partner with individual operations to continuously improve business performance across the group

 

Direct business development initiatives

 

Oversee the performance of and set goals for relevant business units

 

Travel required

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

At least 15 years of professional experience, including 5 years as a head of diversified operations (incl. services, manufacturing) or equivalent at an international firm

 

Strong knowledge of operations management, business strategy, financial planning, and corporate governance

 

Experience in a technology focused position in the renewable energy and/or EPC sectors

 

Strong business development track record

 

Excellent management, analytical, negotiating, communication, and presentation skills

 

Proactive, hands-on, and entrepreneurial approach. Responds quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; embraces change and welcomes fresh perspectives; learns from past mistakes and adjusts accordingly

 

Education:

 

Advanced business and technical degree

 

Language Abilities:

 

Fluent in spoken and written English is a must, Russian and German advantageous
