The Company


Our client is the global market-leading brand in on-road load handling solutions which includes loader cranes, multi-lift demountables, log-lift and forestry/recycling cranes, truck-mounted forklifts and tail lifts.  Their current revenue in Asia Pacific is approx. EUR 100 million and they have around 200 employees across the APAC region.


Position Description


Reporting to the Senior Vice President – Markets, the successful incumbent will be responsible for all revenue generation activities within the market area (own companies as well as independent dealers) in line with the company’s business strategy and goals. He/she contributes to Markets strategic decisions and future growth as part of the Markets Management Team.


Summary of Key Responsibilities:


Create, develop and drive the execution of the route to market strategy and pricing strategy for the market area in line with the Market Divisions overall market strategy and in coordination with the business areas within the company.  Plan and drive the execution of sales and marketing activities to reach set targets and to increase the market share for the company’s’ products.  Lead the sales and service organisation in the market area in accordance with leadership principles and in line with corporate policies.


Represent the company in the market area both internally and externally (for example towards customers, managing dealer relationships, in industry associations)


Representing the company and their interests in the board of the Joint Venture and govern the business aligned with set strategy and targets


Ensure corporate strategies, processes and tools are implemented in the market area


Stay up to date with market research and trends within the region


Understand the customer’s needs and translate into local actions to ensure customer satisfaction


Develop sales and marketing plans and actions on how to approach existing and potential customers


Create and monitor sales budgets and actions together with the sales team


Identify and report forecasts for sales opportunities and productions plans


Maintain and develop relations externally and internally


Drive the team’s success, establish clear and concrete individuals targets and follow up


Lead and develop talents and ensure retention of key persons


Organize the team to work effective and support in building our corporate culture


Candidate Profile


Work Experience & Abilities Required:


Minimum of 10 years’ experience in load handling equipment sales and marketing across different job levels


Excellent understanding of load handling business and on managing customer relationship


Used to work in a global and international business environment in a matrix organisation


Solid experience in a sales management role and a good track record in managing a teams


Good technical skills and product knowledge


Creative marketing capability


Result oriented and eager to sell


Excellent interpersonal and leadership and communication skills


Experience from working with change management


Strong financial skills, knows and understand numbers


Creative in finding solutions for customer requests




Suitable educational background on technical and commercial subjects (Bachelor or academic level)


Language Abilities:


Fluent in both spoken and written English
