Global Strategic Marketing Head, Systems BU


The Company

 

Our client is a NYSE listed, well-recognized and respected world-leading vertically integrated manufacturer of its own-brand solar photovoltaic (PV) products; from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules.  PV modules are arrays of interconnected solar cells encased in a weatherproof frame which is able to withstand high levels of ultraviolet radiation and moisture.  Their modules provide reliable and environmentally-friendly electric power for residential, commercial, industrial and other applications worldwide.

 

With global headquarters in China (Shanghai and Changzhou) and existing substantial and continually growing global operations in Europe, The America’s, Middle East and Africa in addition to Asia; this financially strong firm continues to not only build and expand their own brand internationally but are also able to perform at, or above, analyst projections.

 

Position Description

 

With flexibility of location but preferably Shanghai or Beijing this key position reports directly to the Senior Vice President – Systems BU, based primarily in Beijing.

 

The successful incumbent will work very closely with the SVP to drive global results and market presence for the Systems BU around the World.  They will:

 

Formulate an integrated analysis and marketing strategy for each Region / Country around the world, including a targeted value proposition, tactical plans and recommendations, including segments and Countries that will not be targeted.

 

Create comprehensive market analysis and opportunities then integrate an effective marketing tool kit and go-to-market strategies to ensure differentiation and growth.

 

Be a proactive force in helping the SVP and organization position itself to grow revenue profitability globally for this Division.

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

MBA preferred.

 

Proven strategic marketing, investment and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively globally.

 

Experience leading marketing strategy and analysis for a global, technology-orientated company.

 

Ideally, the incumbent will have knowledge of the PV or Renewable industry.

 

Demonstrated ability in analyzing industries and country opportunities.

 

Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop fact-based conclusions, and lead cross-functional and geographical teams to implement plans that substantially improve the business.

 

Excellent communication, presentation, influencing / persuasive skills in a fast-paced environment.

 

Ability to consolidate numerous commercial variables into summarized assessment.

 

Strong analytical skills.

 

Self starter who works with minimal supervision and can balance multiple assignments and challenges.

 

7-10 years of business experience with an emphasis on B2B. Technical degree preferred.

 

Ability to build rapport at all levels internally and externally.

 

Good English skills.
