Position Description

 

Reporting to the Senior VP & General Manager APAC, the successful incumbent will lead the company towards achieving the corporate vision and to meet the corporate objectives as assigned by the CEO, EVP of GCSD and SVP & GM APAC.

 

Contribute towards achieving the company’s long-term business plan and annual budgeted profit by leading the local team to recognize and meet the company’s set business objectives.

 

Achieve the agreed targets in top line growth through familiarity with both dental market and customers, customer satisfaction through sales planning and account management, and ensure the delegated team satisfaction through performance and career management.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

To formulate and implement the company objectives and strategies, to ensure the company is operating effectively and efficiently.

 

To ensure that the company could prosper and grow. Recommend and suggest sales strategies, promotional activities, and other initiatives designed to increase the level of awareness and sales of Product Solutions in the country.

 

To establish effective relationship with all stakeholders, including APAC leadership team, government bodies, and business partners.

 

Identification of market opportunities, trends and conduit for innovative ideas. Review current trade information sources, and target potential local associations in partnership way.

 

Proposing enhancements of risk management measures on a fit-for-purpose and economically justified basis.

 

Strong analytical power that enables fast and sound judgment be made is required by this job which very often has to understand the conflicting interests of different departments in order to be able to assess the potential impact any such “conflict” may have on service quality; business cost and internal resource plan so as to lead parties involved to decide on the next action required amicably and promptly.

 

Customer and partner relationship management. Monitor relationships and ensure that any issues of concern are properly handled in a diplomatic and reasonable manner. Ensure good communication channels are in place and proper conduits for issue resolution.

 

Provide accurate and timely feedback on market conditions including pricing, competitor activity and marketing initiatives.

 

To provide strong leadership and problem solving skill to local team in China.

 

To present monthly sales and marketing activity reports for the region, and accurate planning and forecasting of sales performance.

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

Above 15 years sales experiences in multi-national organization of either healthcare or medical industry, with proven track record in managing and supervising a medium size team (a team of around 40 members) in the related field of job related activities and people management.

 

Strong solutions knowledge with business understanding including Chinese cultural & market knowledge.

 

Must have extensive experience in budget preparation and target setting.

 

High levels of energy to effect and drive improvement and change through the business.

 

Ability to energize a medium size workforce to achieve continually increasing performance levels.

 

Ability to manage and develop high performers and to deal effectively and promptly with poor performers.

 

Ability to effectively cascade corporate strategy down to the local team and direct reports.

 

Well trained in management, influencing & leadership skills.

 

Ability to translate global and local business strategies into actions.

 

Ability to perform regular process reviews, improve business practices and redesign organization structures to meet current and future business requirements.

 

Strong drive to succeed, ability to lead, manage and develop employees to maximize their potential and deliver business results.

 

Ability to plan and enhance workforce capability to meet future business requirements.

 

Ability to target and support customer’s need, enterprise level customer relationship and development skills.

 

Ability to regulate, monitor and inspire others to comply with Company’s policies and procedures and other external statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations.

 

Must have excellent communication skills both in English and Mandarin including presentation and public speaking.

 

Be innovative and high commercial orientation.

 

Well developed business analysis skills including opportunity and risk assessment.

 

Education:

 

MBA degree or equivalent preferable, dental or medical education background will be plus.

 

Language Abilities:
