Our client produces health and wellness products based on cutting-edge science and nutrition. Headquartered in Idaho, USA they have a significant global reach with an ever-growing team of independent distributors based all around the world.

 

To support the growing demand for their products in international markets and increase their global brand visibility, our client plans to invest heavily in expanding into the China market in 2014.

 

Position Description

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

Based in Shanghai and reporting to the General Manager – China, the principal duty of this position is to ensure the financial viability of our client.

 

The position is responsible for the accounting systems, the annual statutory account, taxation returns and legal matters.  In performing these responsibilities the position liaises with taxation advisers, lawyers, bankers and auditors.

 

The position is responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports.  In performing these responsibilities the position liaises with corporate personnel and external auditors.

 

The position provides regular briefings (and early warning) to their superiors on business performance, cash management, compliance, statutory changes and other issues.

 

The position provides financial advice and support to all the China operations.

 

The position is responsible for insurance policies.

 

The position is responsible for the evaluation of expansion opportunities and investment in new projects.  In evaluating opportunities the financial, legal and taxation aspects are considered using relevant experts.

 

The position is responsible for over viewing the treasury function, which involves foreign exchange management, cash management and liaises with the banks.

 

Leader in the development and maintenance of all local relationships with banks, accounting firms and financial consultants

 

The position is responsible for the review of China operation legal documents.

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

Strong general accounting and treasury experiences and successfully managed an accounting function in a medium /large company.

 

General knowledge of corporation law.

 

Strong understanding of accounting systems (relevant hardware) and financial modeling.

 

Personal Qualifications:

 

Proven leadership and communication skills.

 

Strong planning, organization and execution skills.

 

Good time management and ability to meet the deadlines.

 

Good inter-personal skill.

 

Education:

 

University degree in Accounting or equivalent.

 

Language Abilities:

 

Fluent English language skills are essential.
