Our client is a NYSE listed, dynamic and world-leading vertically integrated manufacturer of its own-brand solar photovoltaic (PV) products; from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules.  PV modules are arrays of interconnected solar cells encased in a weatherproof frame which is able to withstand high levels of ultraviolet radiation and moisture.  Their modules provide reliable and environmentally-friendly electric power for residential, commercial, industrial and other applications worldwide.

 

With global headquarters in China (Shanghai and Changzhou) and existing global operations in both Europe and North America in addition to Asia; this financially strong firm continues to not only build and expand their own brand internationally but are also able to perform at, or above, analyst projections.

 

Position Description

 

Reporting directly to the Senior VP – Systems, the successful incumbent will work closely with all commercial Global functions and Regional Sales & Marketing teams to drive results and market presence for the business.  They will formulate an integrated marketing strategy, including a targeted value proposition, tactical marketing plans and tools.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

Create and integrate an effective marketing tool kit and go-to-market strategies including product launches to ensure differentiation and growth.  Be a proactive force in helping the organization position itself to grow revenue profitability.

 

Collaborate with the global product management team, the regional sales team, and other functions to identify requirements for commercial & brand success.

 

Understand customers’ clinical and economic needs, and then map a communication strategy, e.g. digital, PR, events.

 

Instill marketing principals, discipline, and accountability throughout the organization.

 

When required, assist in developing regional marketing plans and ensure execution.

 

Establish and optimize operational marketing processes.

 

Facilitate innovative total customer offering development to ensure customer success.

 

Assist in contributing to the Annual Marketing Plan, ensuring regional/operations plans & executions are aligned with global marketing plans (value proposition, positioning, marketing mix, etc.)

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

Experience leading marketing strategy and go-to-market for a global, technology-orientated company.  Ideally, the incumbent will have knowledge of the PV industry.

 

A proven track record of instilling marketing discipline and accountability within a global business.

 

Commercialization experience with a focus on building market awareness and go-to-market strategy and experience.

 

Hands-on experience developing and deploying processes tools, and metrics to drive marketing accountability, transparency, and results – strong analytical capability preferred.

 

A best practices mentality and ability to incorporate best practices into the marketing organization.

 

Business and financial acumen.

 

7-9 years of business experience and 5-8 years of marketing with emphasis on B2B. Technical degree preferred.

 

Exceptional communication skills.

 

Customer focus and ability to build rapport at all levels internally and externally.

 

An ability to align product, field, and corporate marketing together to create a strategic advantage for the business.
