The Company


Our client produces health and wellness products based on cutting-edge science and nutrition. Headquartered in Idaho, USA they have a significant global reach with an ever-growing team of independent distributors based all around the world.


To support the growing demand for their products in international markets and increase their global brand visibility, our client plans to invest heavily in expanding into the China market in 2014.


Position Description


Summary of Key Responsibilities:


Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with government departments at all levels of government considered important to our clients business and operation


Partner with the sales team to establish priorities


Developing and maintaining partnerships with trade associations and other groups and leveraging that relationship to further government affairs and business objectives


Following policy/regulatory issues of concern to our clients business, reporting on plans/developments and helping devise strategies for addressing concerns


Arranging executive visits/meetings with local government officials at appropriate levels


Representing the company in government forums/events and industry group meetings


Assisting development of strategies on key issues which may help raise the profile with the government and the public at large


Working closely with global GR counterparts


Coordinating and managing visits to facilities by officials and policymakers


Be required to work closely with varied parts of the business including Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.


Candidate Profile


Work Experience & Abilities Required:


Strong working experience in government relations, including excellent knowledge of Chinese government structure and processes


Excellent interpersonal-relationship skills, and general business knowledge


Good organization, coordination and prioritization skills


Personal integrity and good judgment are necessary


Ability to work independently, as well as with a team


Experience in the direct sale industry is preferred


Travel is required




Bachelor degree is required and advance degree preferred.


Language Abilities:


Fluent English language skills are essential.
