Position Description

 

Our client is looking for a highly energetic, pro-active and entrepreneurial leader with strong change management capabilities, customer focus & internal service provider mindset.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

Establishment of Supply Management as an internal service provider and business partner which supports the different joint ventures and product companies through a holistic, end-to-end value chain approach

 

Engage and inspire the JV Supply Management organization and create a stronger customer mind-set by transforming the Supply Management organization into a strong internal service provider and partner

 

Implementation of new structures to improve Supply Management activities in emerging countries for the assessment and selection of most competitive suppliers

 

Implementation of supplier management system in consistence with business objectives as well as division and global orientation

 

Secure alignment between JV supply management and the various internal teams

 

Being responsible for total spend

 

Being responsible for ensuring world class supply of components from Emerging Market Suppliers

 

Responsible for developing Suppliers for the company’s needs in Emerging Markets

 

Fulfillment of annual targets

 

Ensure fulfillment of the supply management strategy

 

Encouraging continuous improvement in the organization

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

A minimum of 8 to 12 years of international supply management experience in operational as well as strategic roles

 

Successful implementation of management of industry projects and/or extensive supply management experience in the area of project business and production

 

Proven leadership track record in organizational change management projects and knowledge of environments where best practices is integrated

 

Strong business acumen and business management capability

 

Good networker and engaging personality with multicultural sensitivity

 

Excellent negotiation skills

 

Develop strategies from within functional or corporate strategies

 

Education:

 

University degree in engineering/business administration/natural sciences; MBA, PhD or supply chain/purchasing diploma beneficial.
