The Company

 

Our client is a NYSE listed, recognized world-leading vertically integrated manufacturer of its own-brand Solar PV products; from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules and development and financing of its own solar farm projects around the world.

 

The company is enjoying both a financially good period and a well-recognized market leading position globally; therefore it wishes to capitalize on this through a serious of strategic acquisitions.  Hence the need for this key position.

 

Position Description

 

Based primarily in Shanghai the Director M&A / Strategic Planning will report directly to the CFO and be a key person in the CFO’s senior team.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

Key role in leading the acquisition process and related activities

 

Strong analytical skills to prepare and deliver accurate analysis on potential target

 

Present deal related data and information to management for review

 

Work closely and communicate effectively with different functions to establish transaction priorities

 

Key person to coordinate with internal deal teams and external teams on due diligence

 

Manage the transaction process

 

Coordinate deal valuation and ensure proper approval for all transactions

 

Participate and facilitate negotiation, work with tax/legal on deal structure and facilitate closing

 

Work with teams for integration plans

 

Make good analysis post transaction to ensure a proper review on deal effectiveness

 

Support CFO on M&A and other strategic projects

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

Minimum 15 years’ experience with proven tracking record of involving M&A transactions from beginning to the end

 

Excellent process management and M&A deal knowledge

 

Experience in PV, semiconductor or other renewable energy related business preferred

 

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills and executive level presentation skills required

 

A self starter and leader as well

 

Strong oral, written and communication skills

 

Strong people skills

 

Education:

 

MBA or finance educational background preferred.

 

Language Abilities:

 

Speaking and writing English & Mandarin Chinese skills required.
