Position Description

 

Based in Shanghai and working together with the Regional Sales team across China, the successful incumbent will be promote the goods and services of the Group in order to generate new business opportunities.  They will be in charge of the management and acquisition of customers with the aim of creating long lasting and strong and secure customer relationships.  Help with the implementation and creation of a robust sales structure to ensure strong and effective management of the sales function.  Provide leadership, direction and supervision of the China sales team, including the implementation of the targets set during the annual planning process.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategy & Communication

 

Provide leadership and vision to the organization on sales related topics

 

With assistance of Management, define sales strategies, establish sales goals and closely monitor achievement

 

Propose and implement strategies to generate wealth and grow its sales activity in the Region

 

Responsible for implementation of sales and marketing strategy within the China Region

 

With the close involvement of other Group departments, define a sales and marketing concept for our services in China

 

Develop sales opportunities, proactively drive new opportunities to explore new revenue channels

 

Maintain extremely close contact with executive management and general management of the group in Asia and Europe

 

Financial control of the business

 

Monitor and control sales performance together with resultant operational expenses of sales representatives

 

Monitor and manage the Shanghai Sales office to ensure efficient and effective control of operations

 

Monitor and control third part account receivables to ensure prompt collection

 

Generate annual financial budget of the sales operations, report and monitor monthly with detailed explanations to plan

 

Generate and manage any specific ad-hoc requests to support the Group function

 

Development of the business in line with Company’s objectives

 

Participate in business development activities, grow existing client relationships and explore new opportunities

 

Liaise with existing clients including involvement in the design & implementation of new projects

 

Maintain strong communication with clients and prospective new accounts

 

Assist and communicate effectively to other departmental functions to resolve client issues and to implement a proactive responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction

 

Human Resources

 

Focal point of communication for all relevant aspects of the Company’s business

 

Analyze training needs and facilitate training programs for sales personnel

 

Liaise with Corporate HR in all matters related to HR functions, policies and procedures

 

Oversee workplace operations, including holding staff meetings and further trainings and working with staff to maintain and improve effectiveness and efficiency

 

Hire, supervise, evaluate and – if necessary – dismiss staff members and workers as specified in the Local Standing Rules and the Group personnel policies

 

Responsible for leading and motivating a strong team

 

Overall responsibility of customer / client order

 

Overall responsibility, with close liaison to other operational departments, to ensure client satisfaction is maintained

 

Responsible for developing relationships with the clients to explore further business penetration

 

Build the knowledge base of client’s business, organization and future plans: responsible for continuously improving delivery processes

 

Candidate Profile

 

Work Experience & Abilities Required:

 

Proven management capabilities across a regional sales team

 

Experience with handling multi- locational, multi-cultural teams. Should be culturally sensitive to professional working styles of various geographies

 

Previous experience in a textile related industry is preferential within China or Asia

 

Possesses an overall business perspective, strong leadership and executive presence, with credibility to effectively represent the company, both internally and externally

 

Language Abilities:

 

Mandarin and English skills are essential
