Operations Director

This global presence provides design and engineering solutions that are combined with core electronics manufacturing and logistics services, and vertically integrated with components technologies, to optimize customer operations by lowering costs and reducing time to market.
Summary of Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Director will be based in Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao and responsible for the start-up and revamp of our clients operation in Shanghai.
  • To lead operation team to achieve safety, productivity, quality, and cost targets
  • To oversee and manage the manufacturing operations, and ensure production schedule attainment and quality requirements.
  • Deal with day to day operational problems including productivity, people, quality issues etc, track the root cause, and make improvement actions to avoid similar issues in future.
  • Actively participate the problem solving process, and continuously drive quality improvement.
  • Act as the change leader, and continuously drive the productivity improvement through lean initiatives.
  • Coaching the general supervisors and account managers, and improve team competence.
  • Coordinate with Quality and Engineering department etc on daily operation issues, and drive the results.
  • Control KOI: Scrap/attrition/IDM/OT/labor cost/Delivery rate.
Work Experience and Abilities Required
  • Very high level of communication & interpersonal skill, motivate employees, generate work output through his staff.
  • High level of analytic ability, good problem solving skill, and desire for continuous improvement.
  • Strong sense of responsibility/accountability and team work spirit, understand how to develop a performing team.
  • Working experience in TS16949 environment.
  • Understand SMT/PCBA/Box build.

Education
  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably major in Engineering or electronic, with a minimum of eight years experience in automotive manufacturing areas will be preferred.
  • Language Ability

    Good English/Chinese speaking and writing ability.
